Research
Research is central to the way we work at BMRRC. It helps us understand the realities of children, families, and communities, and ensures that our programs are guided by evidence rather than assumptions.
In its formative years, BMRRC’s research encompassed medical, scientific, and traditional Ayurveda studies, reflecting a holistic approach to child health. Since 2000, the focus has shifted to the social sciences—particularly parenting, early childhood, and the psycho-social well-being of children.
Our approach combines numbers with narratives that include using surveys, interviews, and focus
group discussions alongside individual stories and case studies. This allows us to track progress,
identify challenges, and refine our interventions in areas such as early childhood care, education,
parenting, adolescent well-being, and family empowerment.
Every study we undertake is designed with one goal- to improve outcomes for children. By listening
closely to families and communities, and by carefully analyzing what works and what doesn’t, we are
able to adapt our programs to meet real needs.
Through this continuous cycle of learning and improvement, research at BMRRC is not just about
knowledge, it is about creating impact that lasts.
