Resources
The Bala Mandir Research & Resource Centre and its extensive range of materials and publications offer vital information on early childhood development and parenting tailored for all those in this field, including NGOs, parents, teachers, and caregivers.
Bala Mandir Resource Centre
Inaugurated in 2005, the Bala Mandir Resource Centre serves as a hub for parents, voluntary organisations, and professionals to come together and enhance their understanding of parenting and childcare. It provides a variety of services aimed at supporting families and improving child development. Parents can access professional counselling and advice on a wide array of issues. The Centre also features a well-equipped conference room that hosts meetings, seminars, and discussions, serving as a forum for interactive dialogues among stakeholders. Additionally, the Centre’s library offers a selection of resource and reference materials, including books, videos, and films on childcare and parenting, as well as teaching aids in various local languages. The library is open to all members of the public, including researchers, professionals, and parents.
Resources
BMRRC has developed an extensive range of ECCD materials to support the holistic development of young children, relevant for all those at home and in the field, including parents, professionals and NGOs.
They include comprehensive parenting kits as an extension of the LTP materials for holistic and inclusive early development, as well as materials on critical topics such as brain development and behaviour, and parenting flashcards that are accessible to all.
Importantly, these low-literacy materials are available in a range of local languages to ensure accessibility for diverse communities.
Publications
Our in-house publications consist of poems, stories, and writings from illustrated leaders in the field of child development and education, with a special focus on celebrating and highlighting local heritage, traditions, and culture.
